USAF tower 1007 on the west end of the NASA Causeway recorded a 35 knot wind gust as thunderstorms moved over the intracoastal.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms ahead of an approaching frontal boundary over north Florida produced strong wind gusts as they moved offshore the east-central Florida coast.
