A South Florida Water Management District weather station along the Indian River Lagoon west of Nettles Island recorded a peak wind gust of 38 knots out of the west northwest as storms pushed offshore.
Wider weather episode
Numerous showers and thunderstorms ahead of an approaching frontal boundary over north Florida produced strong wind gusts as they moved offshore the east-central Florida coast.
