A tree was reported down at the intersection of Pohick Rd and Creek Side View Lane.

The wider storm

A warm front passed through the area while an upper-level trough approached from the west. A southerly flow behind the front caused an unstable atmosphere, and moderate amounts of instability developed due to colder air aloft ahead of the approaching trough. There was enough instability for some thunderstorms to become severe.
