EOC relayed a report via social media of multiple trees and power lines on Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian land in northern Jackson County.

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms developed across western the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon, and across the Piedmont during the evening. A couple of these storms produced brief damaging wind gusts.
