The public reported that penny sized hail accumulated at least one inch deep around Owl Creek Road and Highway 75.

Wider weather episode

Moderate instability, ample moisture and strong afternoon heating resulted in widespread strong thunderstorms over North and Central Georgia. Numerous reports of damaging thunderstorms winds and large hail were received from across North Georgia during the afternoon and evening of June 26th.
