A weak 500 mb low/inverted trough stretched over northeast Mexico and Deep South Texas brought a plume of low to mid-level moisture across the western Gulf of Mexico and across the Lower Texas Coastal Waters. Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed and moved north over the Gulf of Mexico waters and the Laguna Madre, some with gale force wind gusts.
