Wider weather episode

Early in the afternoon, isolated thunderstorms developed along the coast as the sea breeze began to set up. These storms produced strong wind gusts along the coast. Then later in the afternoon and through the evening, a strong line of thunderstorms developed within an inland trough and progressed eastward. As the line of thunderstorms moved through coastal locations and the adjacent coastal waters numerous reports of strong wind gusts were reported by area observation sites.
