The ASOS at Lewiston, ID reported a wind gust of 72 mph. This wind gust caused numerous trees and powerlines to go down. The utility company noted 6000 people lost power.

Wider weather episode

A strong and fairly dry cold front passed thorugh North Idaho and brought damaging winds and blowing dust to the area in addition to causing extreme fire behavior.
