A lifeguard reported a waterspout a few miles off the coast of the Isle of Palms County Park.

Under the influence of subtropical high pressure to the east, conditions became conducive for waterspouts in the morning hours. Weak surface flow and a moist atmosphere helped to produce a waterspout off the Charleston County coast.
