Event narrative

Power lines damaged caused a small fire along Highway 32 near the Pierce county line.

Wider weather episode

A mid level short wave trough over central Georgia shifted across the area during the late afternoon and into the evening. This forcing combined with additional shallow lift from the sea breezes and ahead of a weak surface trough over south Georgia and produced scattered severe storms over a moist and unstable airmass.
