Significant Beach Erosion took place along area beaches as High Astronomical Tides combined with strong Northeast winds across the coastal waters.

The combination of high pressure building into the Southeast U.S. and low pressure off the South Carolina and Georgia coastline, resulted in a tight pressure gradient across the area. Strong Northeast winds and High Astronomical Tides combined to produce moderate to severe Beach Erosion and some Coastal Flooding across the region.
