Thunderstorm winds and high waves capsized a 32 foot sailboat on the waters of Green Bay west of Sister Bay. Passengers aboard the boat were rescued by the Coast Guard.

Thunderstorms that moved across northern Wisconsin intensified as they reached the waters of Green Bay, where they produced strong winds. Gusts of 47 knots and 54 knots were measured with these storms.
