Event narrative

KTVB received reports from the Owyhee County Sheriff's office that a vehicle had been swept away by flash flooding and a debris flow near Givens Hot Springs in Northwest Owyhee County at around 6:30 AM MDT. Idaho Transportation Department reported a rock slide on U. S. Highway 95 at mile marker 13 and occurred at approximately 2:39 PM MDT.

Heavy rain fell across parts of Southwest Idaho overnight on the 18th through the 19th leading to flash flooding including a vehicle swept away by a debris flow.
