The Tybee Island South Weatherflow station measured a 47 knot wind gust with a passing thunderstorm.

A line of thunderstorms developed inland in the early evening hours and tracked eastward toward the southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina coast. These thunderstorms produced strong wind gusts along the coast and the adjacent coastal waters through the evening.
