Event narrative

Flooding closed the ramp from the Causeway to Interstate 10. Also, all eastbound lanes of the Causeway were closed.

Wider weather episode

The remnants of Hurricane Patricia and an upper level storm system resulted in the development of a strong non tropical low over the northwest Gulf of Mexico. The low produced a long duration of strong southerly winds, which produced minor coastal flooding a high surf along portions of the Alabama coast.
