Event narrative

Strong wind damage was reported near road PR-2 at Victoria Plaza. The roof was damaged by the strong winds. When the winds ripped the roof activated the building fire sprinkler system flooding local government offices. National Lumber and Hardware store sign was damaged by the wind and a few articles that were on display also were damaged by the winds. Although estimated winds were around 50 to 60 mph were reported no conclusive tornado evidence was found.

Wider weather episode

Showers and thunderstorms were observed across many sectors of PR. Thunderstorms which produced periods of heavy rainfall, resulted in minor urban and rural flooding.
