Seventeen inches accumulated snowfall reported at the Lone Pine SNOTEL site well east of Mount St. Helens.

Wider weather episode

An early season snowstorm brought winter weather to southwest Washington. Much of the snow fell in the Cascades and the Cascade Foothills. However, snow did make it down to the valley floor, with significant amounts seen in and near the western Columbia River Gorge.
