A man was thrown overboard near the Columbia River bar. There was a search conducted by the Coast Guard and assisted by the Columbia River Bar Pilots, but it was suspended after the man couldn't be found.

A Pacific storm brought strong winds to the coastal waters, which helped to increase swell conditions in the Columbia River bar. A man was thrown overboard in the strong winds and large swell. The USCG conducted a search, but never found the individual. He is presumed dead.
