The Brandywine Shoal NOS reported wind gusts due to thunderstorms between 55 and 58 mph between 11:24 and 11:30 pm.
Wider weather episode
Low pressure with an associated warm front moved northward through the Delmarva region and nearby bay and ocean waters early in the evening on the 2nd. Several clusters of thunderstorms developed along the warm front late in the evening on the 2nd into the early morning hours of the 3rd, producing several strong wind gusts on the waters.
