A massive landslide on the east slope of Mount Soledad in La Jolla left two homes destroyed and 15 others uninhabitable. The landslide also knocked down power lines, completely destroyed 200 feet of Soledad Mountain Road, and caused a minor gas leak. The landside caused $26 million in public works damage and $22 million in property damage. Weather was not a factor in the landslide.
