A strong storm system brought up to 15 inches of snow over sections of southern Colorado. Seven inches of snow was noted at Black Forest, southwest of downtown Colorado Springs, north of Florissant in Teller County and northwest of Aguilar, along the Huerfano-Las Animas county line. Nine to 15 inches of snow occurred in and around Beulah, Rye, San Isabel, Silver Cliff, Rosita, and Wetmore in western Pueblo and Custer Counties. Twelve inches of snow was measured around Woodland Park in Teller county. Due to the time frame of the snow event, snow advisories covered the event. Meantime, heavy snow accumulations over 10 inches occurred over the eastern Sawatch Range and Mosquito Range, covered by a winter storm warning.
