Largest stones were three-quarters of an inch in diameter.
Wider weather episode
An upper level trough was entering into the desert southwest with an area of surface convergence along the Rio Grande in Sierra County. These features contributed to isolated thunderstorms near the higher terrain and produced some dime size hail in the Hillsboro area.
