Event narrative

Strong straight-line thunderstorm winds produced significant damage in Samak, Utah, primarily along Samak Park Loop. The winds snapped 10 aspen trees, uprooted a cottonwood tree, lifted and displaced a garage approximately 20 feet, and produced considerable roof damage to multiple other structures.

Wider weather episode

Strong thunderstorms developed across Utah on June 8 through June 13, with some of these storms producing large hail and gusty winds.
