A co-workers friend reports quarter size hail.

Wider weather episode

A shortwave trough with ample shear and average CAPE produced scattered thunderstorms across west central Montana. Numerous hail reports were reported from the Bitterroot valley with the largest hail report estimated at quarter size. The storms continued to produce quarter size hail as it move off to the northeast. Some small damages to vehicles were reported from the hail storms.
