The Copper Harbor ASOS measured a peak thunderstorm wind gust of 35 knots.
The wider storm
A warm front lifting across the region produced strong thunderstorms over portions of western Lake Superior during the day of the 25th. A cold front moving through later that night brought a few strong thunderstorms to the west half of Lake Superior.
Began near Copper Harbor (47.4670, -87.8830).
