Mustang Island Platform AWOS measured a gust to 41 knots.

The slow moving upper low over south central Texas interacted with deep moisture over the region to produce scattered thunderstorms. The storms produced wind gusts from 35 to 50 knots over the offshore waters during the early morning hours and along the coast during the afternoon. Dime sized hail occurred near Corpus Christi Bay also.
