The local fire department reported that a tree fell down onto a pickup and a house.

Wider weather episode

The combination of a weak front in the area and very warm and moist air produced scattered thunderstorms across central Kentucky during the afternoon and evening hours August 27 and 28. A few storms produced severe winds which brought down trees and also resulted in localized flash flooding.
