A wind gust of 42 mph was measured by an automated station at Jewfish Creek.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure developed in the northwest Caribbean Sea and southeast Gulf of Mexico and evolved into Tropical Storm Colin over the period from June 5 through 6, 2016. While not directly associated with the circulation of the developing tropical cyclone, severe rounds of showers and thunderstorms with gale force wind gusts moved north from the Florida Straits, impacted Dry Tortugas National Park and portions of the Florida Keys.
