An amateur radio operator reported a 49 mph wind gust on their home weather station on the south end of West Island. No damage was reported.

A cold front moved through southern New England and when coupled with the existing heat and humidity, resulted in showers and thunderstorms developing over much of the area late in the day and continuing into the evening and overnight hours.
