The State Emergency Operations Center reported 17 heat related illnesses, due to heat exposure. This occurred during the PGA tournament at Baltrusrol Golf Club in Springfield NJ. Temperatures rose to the lower 90s in the afternoon. The combination of these temperatures and high humidity made it feel like the mid 90s.
