The Webster County Emergency Manager reported a roof blown off of a small office building near the intersection of Washington Street and Industrial Boulevard and several trees and power lines blown down in Preston. One tree fell on a house.

A very moist and moderately unstable airmass over the region, combined with strong daytime heating and a short wave moving over the state, resulted in scattered severe thunderstorms.
