Cuchillo Creek overflowed and flooded Highway 52 in Winston. Water was up to 2 feet deep across the highway.

Wider weather episode

The remnants of Hurricane Newton moved into the region which combined with an upper trough moving over the Rockies. With plenty of moisture and lift, heavy rain occurred across the region and caused some flash flooding around Winston.
