What the National Weather Service wrote

A 66-year-old man was struck by lightning outside his residence on Tanglewood Court in Minocqua. He was first taken to Howard Young Medical Center, then transported to St. Claire's Hospital in Weston. From there, he was taken to a burn center in Madison where he died from his injuries.

The wider storm

Thunderstorms moved across northern Wisconsin during the early morning of September 6th. A man, who was walking his dog, was struck by lightning and died of his injuries two days later.
