Cordova Boat Harbor reported a gust to 87 mph on 9/21. Cape Hinchinbrook entrance to Prince William Sound was closed to outbound laden tankers due to weather.

Wider weather episode

A triple point low associated with a low in the Bering Sea developed in Bristol bay and moved into the Gulf of Alaska. The associated occluded front brought high winds to Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula and the Prince William Sound as it progressed through the region, as well as flooding to the Seward area.
