Numerous homes and businesses were flooded and damaged in and around Windsor, due to heavy rain over several days causing the Cashie River to exceed major flood stage. Numerous roads were flooded and closed.

The wider storm

Heavy rains from the combination of a stalled frontal boundary and remnant low pressure area that was Tropical Storm Julia from September 19th through September 21st, resulted in the Cashie River exceeding major flood stage. Widespread flooding occurred in and around Windsor from Wednesday, September 21st into Sunday, September 25th.
