Measured heavy snow of 7 inches fell at the Prineville airport by early afternoon of the 8th. Also a retired NWS employee measured 7 inches of snow in Bend.

Wider weather episode

A major Pacific storm brought snow to most of the forecast area. Heaviest snows occurred from south-central Washington south to central Oregon.
