Visibilities reduced to less than a quarter mile and brief intense snowfall rates with a lake effect single band created difficult travel conditions during the morning hours of December 18th. Total snow accumulations of 2-5 inches were common. A weather-related accident in Granger led to one fatality late in the day as roads remained snow covered and slick.
