Event narrative
Rockhouse RAWS weather station reported a peak gust of 60 mph. On top of Mary's Peak, approximately 3,000 feet in the Coast Range, a peak gust of 102 mph was recorded. A trained spotter reported a 5 inch diameter Cherry Tree and an 80 year old apple tree toppled. Many 2 inch branches scattered around the area. Oregon Department of Transportation reported that Highway 18 was closed at milepost 21 due to downed trees.

A deepening low pressure system passed north along the Coast bringing strong winds to Northwest Oregon.
