On Nov. 13th at 0736 am, the Fernandina NOS tide gauge measured 5.22 ft NAVD88 datum or 2.48 ft MHHW datum. This was about 1.2 ft above predicted astronomical tide and was the peak during the perigee event. These levels equated to minor coastal flooding at this site.
On Nov. 14th at 0824 am, the Fernandina NOS tide gauge station measured 4.86 ft NAVD88 datum or 2.12 ft MHHW datum which was about 0.5 ft above predicated astronomical tide levels. This was minor coastal flooding for this location.
Wider weather episode
A lingering NNE surge combined with high tide close to the full moon created elevated water levels along the Atlantic coast and within the St. Johns River Basin.
