Event narrative

A prolonged period of dry weather resulted in worsening drought conditions across Northwest Florida. By the end of November, the entire region was under Extreme (D3) Drought. The entire area saw rain totals less than 50% of normal for the month, with many areas receiving less than 10% of normal. This lack of rain came on the heels of one of the driest Octobers on record.

An extensive period of dry weather resulted in worsening drought conditions, with extreme drought developing over the western Florida Panhandle during the month of November.
