Event narrative

A total of 3.52 inches of rain was recorded at the Astoria Airport weather station from 1 AM to 10 PM. A landslide was reported on Highway 30, blocking one lane and damaging a car. Another landslide was reported on US Highway 103 near milepost 7.

Wider weather episode

A moist Pacific front moving slowly across the area produced heavy rainfall, resulting in flooding of several rivers across Northwest Oregon and at least two landslides.
