The RAWS sensor at Malibu Hills reported north to northeast wind gusts between 59 and 64 MPH.
Wider weather episode
Strong and gusty Santa Ana winds developed across parts of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Wind gusts between 59 and 68 MPH were reported in the mountains as well as some valley areas.
