The first gust at Kodiak Air Station was the strongest. No damage was recorded.
Wider weather episode
A strong low pressure system moved from west of Kodiak Island into the Prince William Sound. Northerly winds on the backside of the low increased significantly for Kodiak Island and the Alaska Peninsula as high pressure moved in.
