Event narrative

The cooperative observer at Payette reported 5 inches of snow and trained spotters around the area reported 4 to 6 inches of snow before it changed over to freezing rain. The weight of existing snow combined with the rain and freezing rain caused structures in the Payette and Emmett areas to collapse. Significant damage occurred to agricultural buildings housing fresh produce.
