Downtown Loiza reported as completely flooded. Coastal erosion and flooding due to hazardous breaking waves.

Wider weather episode

A strong surface high pressure north of Puerto Rico produced windy conditions across the region. Surface winds between 20 to 25 knots across the coastal waters produced very hazardous marine conditions. A Coastal Flood Warning was in effect due to seas up to 16 feet with periods of 14 seconds resultant from a frontal boundary and very windy conditions.
