A marine thunderstorm produced a wind gust of 55 MPH/ 48 knots at the WeatherBug mesonet station MRCSC located at the Charter Club of Marco Beach.
The wider storm
A cold front moving across South Florida produced showers and thunderstorms across the area. With cold temperatures aloft and abundant moisture ahead of the cold front conditions were favorable for thunderstorms. Some of these thunderstorms produced gusty winds and hail.
Began near Marco Island (25.9300, -81.7400).
