A potent winter storm produced snow and high winds across in I-25 corridor and plains. Some of the higher reported wind gusts included: near 60 mph at Cheraw (Otero County) and Colorado Springs, Fountain, Truckton, Peterson AFB (El Paso County), 60 to 70 mph near Colorado City (Pueblo County), La Veta (Huerfano County), Thatcher and Hoehne (Las Animas County), Springfield (Baca County), Finally, wind gusts of around 75 mph were observed near Campo (Baca County) and Blende (Pueblo County).
