Event narrative

Six inches of snow fell at Ft Defiance at about 6,800 feet elevation. Fourteen inches of snow fell in the town of Sawmill at 7720 feet elevation. Eight inches of snow fell in Tsaile. Eighteen inches of snow fell in Ganado at around 6,400 feet elevation.

Wider weather episode

The second of two low pressure systems hit northern Arizona with a generous moisture tap. This produced abundant snow above around 6,000 feet and heavy rain below that elevation. Several locations along and north of the Mogollon Rim experienced strong to high winds.
