The Bear Peak RAWS reported a peak wind gust of 58 mph.

Strengthening high pressure over the Eastern Pacific and strengthening low pressure over the Desert Southwest produced a strong pressure gradient over Central California resulting in a period of gusty winds over the Kern County Mountains and Deserts from the afternoon of the 23rd until the evening of the 24th. Several reports of wind gusts exceeding 45 mph were reported during this time frame.
