Brazos Platform AWOS measured a gust to 41 knots.

Scattered strong thunderstorms moved southwest across the Mid-Coast region and the adjacent coastal waters during the late afternoon hours of the 11th. Additional strong storms developed into a line over the interior portions of the Coastal Bend and moved through the coastal waters south of Port Aransas during the early evening hours. Wind gusts were generally between 40 and 45 knots.
